I love trying different food....I looked up on Google to see where to eat near Pelham recreation center and this place caught my eye. It is right next to the recreation center. Every staff are SUPER friendly...seriously. I have never had Salvadorian food before so I asked the lady. She was so nice, she explained me the menu. Reasonable price, great food, wonderful staff and atmosphere. I will def go back there again if I’m in Pelham.

La Libertad is one of the he best spots to eat in Pelham, AL. The pupusas are hot, fresh, and packed with flavor every time. You can tell everything is made with care. On top of that, the service is always friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. If you haven’t tried it yet, you’re seriously missing out.

It's so hard to find real authentic pupusas but they definitely have them here ..also a nice variety of jerseys for El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and more they have flags for sale for each one aswell ...I loved this place ..

My Peruvian friend took me here. I wasn't sure what to get. She recommended the Pupusas and they did not disappoint. My daughter's friend said they had the best tacos she ever ate. I gave service a 4 out of 5 only due to the language barrier. I was so glad my neighbor speaks fluent Spanish or it would have been more amusing to see me interactions with the staff. Its a must try is you haven't already.

The pupusas, curtido, and salsa are delicious. I always do take out. The staff is really nice.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND this Salvadorian restaurant! I’ve had homemade Salvadorian cuisine back in San Diego (thanks to one of our good friends) so this place serves very authentic dishes from Salvador. Their prices are very reasonable based on their delicious dishes and their drinks were very good as well. It can get a bit packed in there but once you’ve tried, you’ll understand why…

La libertad has been my #1 since childhood place to eat in. The best pupusas in the area for sure. Taste very authentic to its original taste. Clean enough environment, friendly service, and quick as well. Best Salvadorian food around for sure. The casamiento of bean and rice is delicious.
